Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Kerpie, the operator of Sides. By using Sides you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Sides.
Who can use Sides
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority or the age required to consent to data use in your country, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
The game
Sides asks everyone the same question once a day, and you pick one of two sides. Results are counted on our servers and revealed the next day. We may change, add or remove features, including streaks, titles, leaderboards and friends, at any time.
Your account
Your account is anonymous and tied to your browser or device. You are responsible for it. If you clear your browser data or lose your device, you may lose your account, streaks and items, and we may not be able to restore them.
Usernames
Choose a username that is not offensive, hateful, sexual, or pretending to be someone else. We may change or remove usernames, and the accounts that use them, that break this rule.
Play fair
Do not:
- use bots, scripts or multiple accounts to influence results, streaks or leaderboards;
- try to access data that is not yours, or interfere with or overload the service;
- copy or scrape Sides data in bulk;
- use Sides to harass other people or break the law.
We may remove votes, reset streaks or close accounts that break these rules.
Items and titles
Titles, cosmetic items and streak shields are part of the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may change. If we ever offer paid items, the price and any additional terms will be shown before you buy.
Our content
Sides, its design, name and code belong to Kerpie. You may use Sides for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Sharing your results and invite links is welcome.
No guarantees
Sides is provided "as is", for fun. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Kerpie is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of streaks, items or data, arising from your use of Sides. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Sides at any time and delete your account from your profile in the app, or by emailing info@kerpie.com. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Using Sides after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these terms and any dispute about them or about Sides are governed by the laws of the country where you live.
If you live anywhere else, these terms and any dispute about them or about Sides are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law rules, and all disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Turkish courts.
Either way, you keep any consumer rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
The rest
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Sides. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
